Jon Frykholm

Co-FOUNDER | Designer | Master Woodworker

Jon is the backbone to the design and production of our furniture line. His passion for authentic western design is partly inspired by historic furniture builders such as, Thomas Molesworth. Another part to this equation is the story of relevance to land and geographical place, and a connection to the narrative of the historic West. This, in addition to a love of creating, is what propels him to develop his heirloom quality furniture. With over 40 years of expertise, you are sure to find one of a kind furniture pieces throughout the store that will stand the test of time and be passed to future generations. Jon loves all things adventure and outdoors; when not in the shop, he can be found backpacking into wilderness, wetting a fishing line in hidden beaver ponds, cross country ski touring, or taking the Jeep out to explore the back country.

Jamey Frykholm

Blacksmith | Woodworker | Furniture Designer

Jamey is just as comfortable designing and executing one-of-a-kind pieces that combine metal and wood, as he is navigating challenging mountain terrain. Jamey’s schooling as a mechanical engineer is evident in his attention to detail and the ‘engineering’ of his products. Regardless of the season, you are likely to find Jamey on an adventure somewhere in the Upper Arkansas River Valley exploring one of the five wilderness areas that hem in the region. Many of his designs are inspired from the unique history embedded in the area, such as the railroad era, as well as, the rich mining story written on the landscape from Colorado’s past.

Jonah Frykholm

Artist | Woodworker | website Designer

Jonah’s love for the outdoors is the impetus for creating his intricate metal work, which features native fauna, and his photography, which captures regional mountain scenery. His gifted and keen eye, and study of his subject, sets his work apart from others. Jonah also utilizes knowledge and skill gained from a college course in metal design and fabrication, to craft original metal art, which he uses to embellish his collection of unique home accessories. In addition, Jonah is the ‘inventor’ and creator of the popular stone inlay found in our peg racks and the Chevron style headboard featured in our bed section. When he isn’t hard at work you will likely find Jonah in the great outdoors gathering inspiration for new pieces, hiking cross country to some remote, unexplored region, or lugging his camera around, adventuring to discover new and amazing works of nature.
